Making Zabbix Faster and More Focused

Dozens of incoming warning alerts can confuse HPC operations personnel. When a long-time X-ISS client was upgrading its cluster, they asked X-ISS to streamline the Zabbix monitoring system and aggregate the alerts so operations personnel could pinpoint a problem quickly before a critical failure occurred. We Have a Drone Winner!

Congratulations to Debbie Gravely of Clemson Computing & Information Technology, who won the DJI Phantom Unmanned Aerial Vehicle at SC14. Debbie stopped by the X-ISS booth and filled out a survey of her top HPC pain points. We picked her survey at random, and now Debbie has her very own drone!
